Position Title: Rendezvous Manager Department: Food & Beverage Reports To: Director of F&B Created: 7/13/17 Starting Salary: $40,000-$45,000 (depending on experience) SUMMARY The Rendezvous Manager role is to open and manage the newest food and beverage concept located in the Hotel Lobby. This position will oversee both the breakfast buffet as well as the evening lounge. They will be expected to generate revenue by executing flawless guest service, keeping our food, cocktail and wine menus current and competitive, and helping to control the floor throughout daily operations. This includes training the breakfast and bar staff in the outlet, holding them accountable, while making sure the energy is positive and lively. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Managing, Training, Implementing New Bar Systems and Structures • Keeping the bar current with Grand Rapids community by involving ourselves in local drink competitions, advertisements, and events (Wine and Food Festival, GRAM, etc,) • Coordination between upper management and staff with all cocktail and wine tastings and presentations and between our Wine and Liquor Reps. • Execute Rendezvous set up hiring and training to ensure the highest level of service is met • Responsible for all social media content to increase visibility and drive more traffic to the restaurants and bars – taking us to the next level • Execute and print our cocktail and wine menus – keeping them current and competitive • Manage inventory and deadstock wine to decrease wine, beer, and liquor costs • Assist in the execution of all social events and private events • Be the main contact for Beverage Assets keep our outlet organized and up to date with our products • Works constantly with cost control to keep our pricing competitive and more profitable • Keep up on preventative maintenance and deep cleaning within all areas of Rendezvous • Responsible for scheduling of staff • Ability to open and close the outlet when necessary • Hold the staff accountable for proper guest service • Responsible for keeping bar area up to “trends” (i.e. drinks, purse hooks, chargers) • Manage the floor and visit each table when able. • Train with a Private Dining/Sales Manager and fully understand BEO’s and executing them • AHC + hospitality service culture standards and beliefs. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • A four year degree from an accredited college or University is preferred. • 2+ years Management experience in a high volume restaurant or hotel. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS • TiPs Certified LANGUAGE SKILLS • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before guests or associates of organization. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Strong attention to detail, communication and organization skills.
