To determine the dollar amount of your prorated dues, divivde your annuals dues by 12 (months in a year). Take that figure and multiply by the number of months remaining in the membership year. MLTA's membership year runs from September 1st to August 31st.
Example:
A 132-room hotel joins during the month of May.
132 x $8.50 = $1122
1122 divided by 12 = 93.5
93.5 x 4 = $374
Members who join in July or August pay their normal annual dues in full, but will not be asked to renew their membership until September 1st of the following year. This means you get membership in July and/or August FREE! That's a savings of over 8-16%!
